About W7PDJ - Phil Johnston

Growing up Phil’s parents were amateur radio operators for traversing the Rubicon Trail in the Tahoe, California area. Phil’s recent interest in amateur radio came from his interest in FPV Quad flying.  Recent legislation requires a Technician level license, but Phil decided to go for the General as well. Phil now finds interest in FPV Quads, emergency response and HF radio!

You can find him on the local SW Portland Nets and bombing around town in his 2002 Land Cruiser (LX470).
